Raffaele Camponeschi was born on December 25, 1896 in Morlupo, Italy. He arrived in America in 1913 on the vessel The America and settled in Baltimore, Maryland where he met and married Minnie May Thomas. Minnie May was born on November 21, 1909 in Baltimore, Md. Raffaele and Minnie first lived at 1931 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, they then moved to Rueter Road in Colgate, but after the war they moved to 308 S. Conkling Street in Highlandtown.
Raffaele and Minnie had five children, Nicholas (Nick), Filomenia (Fannie), Raffaele (Roy), William (Mootz/Bill), and Viola. Viola died of pheumonia at 18 months. Nick was born in 1924, Fannie in 1926, Roy in 1928, Bill in 1930, and Viola in 1932.
• Nick married Evelyn Lutz. They had three children, Mary Lou Olbay101@aol.com, Nicholas (Nick), and Bonnie.
• Fannie married Raymond Thompson, they had two children, Raymond and Nancy.
• Roy married Loraine Besesi. They had five children, Gary, Rosemarie (Sissy), Joseph, Yvonne, and Mark.
